Influence of chloride ion concentration on initial corrosion of AZ63 magnesium alloy

چکیده

The initial corrosion behavior of AZ63 magnesium alloy was investigated in 1, 3, 5 and 7 wt.% NaCl solutions by means potential, linear polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, polarization measurements, during exposure the media. Results show that increase chloride concentration provokes an rate. Based on obtained kinetics parameters mechanisms anodic dissolution hydrogen evolution reactions were discussed, kinetic models proposed. It is concluded proceeds under Temkin conditions reaction depends surface coverage Mg(OH)2 species.
